Michael was
the preacher
CALLINGTON Brotherhood's meeting on Sunday was presided over by Russell Deacon.
The guest preacher was Michael Stearns, whose gospel message centered on Jesus, after his Crucifixion meeting with the two on the Emmaus Road.
'I know that my Redeemer liveth' was one of the solos sung by Miss Susan Whatty, who shared in the service with her father, Robert Whatty on the organ. The scripture reading was given by Bob Hope.
On Sunday April 29 Launceston Town Band will give a concert for the Brotherhood starting at 2.30pm.

Parks open
to the public
ALL parks in Callington are now open to the public.
Saltash Road Park, Lamorna Park Play Area and Tamar Close Play Area were opened a few weeks ago, however Launceston Road Park remained closed due to the close proximity of sheep in fields nearby. After consultation with councillors and the farmer it was decided that the park should open, subject to prevailing conditions and if there is any degeneration of the current situation then the parks would be closed once more.
Councillor Nettle has confirmed that that Public Footpath system would remain closed for the time being.
