Callington Carnival promises to be one to remember this year with a suggested theme of Centenaries or Anniversaries.
New to this year’s event which will be held tomorrow (Saturday September 8) will be a parade of classic cars and other vehicles which will provide a colourful build-up to the floats and walking entries during the procession.
Reversed and slightly shortened this year to allow for easier participation access for people of all ages and abilities, the main procession will leave the Saltash Road Car Park at 4.30pm. Moving down along Saltash Road to the traffic lights it will turn left into Fore Street and will continue along Liskeard Road as far as the museum before turning left again into Westover, coming out at the primary school. Finally, it will turn right and return to the car park.
People who live along the route are being asked not to park their cars on the road during this time.
