Many members of the Liskeard Traders Association will be opening their businesses for Christmas shoppers on Sunday again on December 18.

Car parking is free in the town on Sundays.

Maureen Smith, chair of the association, said: ‘We are hoping the local community in the town and district will support their local shops.

’Opening up on a Sunday is a first for us and, hopefully, with no parking charges to pay, shoppers will make the most of the opportunity.’

The first Sunday opening took place last weekend.’
