A new initiative is putting South East Cornwall’s cultural attractions on the map.

The Cornwall 365 team has created 10 maps highlighting cultural, historical and other activities.

Cartoonist Keith Sparrow has drawn the maps which are available free of charge to download and print out for use by people in the tourism industry.

The team believes that if those involved in tourism tell their guests about cultural activities, this helps the creative sector to flourish – as well as having a positive effect on visitor spend and footfall.

People in the tourism sector have been invited on days out to learn more about Cornwall’s historical sites, visiting some of the county’s ‘hidden gems’ as well as finding out first-hand what it feels like to do adrenalin activities such as coasteering.

Charlie Gray, of Cornwall 365, said: ‘All our work serves to underpin the cultural events and activities in Cornwall.’

Cornwall 365 has now secured £150,000 in funding from Arts Council England to continue and extend its work.
