A well-known hotel in South East Cornwall is on the market at £1.7 million for the freehold.
The property is being marketed by Colliers International, and hotels director Simon Wells says the extensively refurbished Boscundle Manor Hotel has a history as rich and varied as its surroundings.
’This is a high quality, Grade II listed hotel with an elegant frontage which certainly doesn’t disappoint. It even boasts a piano said to have belonged to Hollywood legend Herbert Lom,’ he said.
Between Charlestown and Fowey on the A390, Boscundle Manor dates back to 1767 and is said to have been built as two attached houses with detached barns. It was once home to the mine captain of Wheal Eliza, one of the more prosperous tin mines in Cornwall.
Boscundle Manor Hotel has 13 bedrooms, an indoor swimming pool and two acres of grounds.
