As the hotly anticipated series two of BBC’s Poldark returned to our screens last Sunday night, bookings and searches for a hotel in Falmouth soared.
Falmouth featured heavily in the debut episode of series two, sparking an increase of 210% in bookings and 152 percent increase in website visits for The Greenbank Hotel, compared to the same date last year. The hotel’s sales, web visits and enquiries between 9pm and 11pm spiked shortly after Poldark’s lover, Demelza boarded the Falmouth to Bodmin stage coach in pursuit of her condemned husband.
