The developer of the new Cornucopia attraction being constructed on the outskirts of St Austell has launched an initiative to help smaller-scale food and drink producers launch and sell their fare without the expense associated with renting a retail unit.
The company has set aside a dedicated retail space within its new Cornish food and drink attraction, set to open in 2017, for ‘cottage industry’ sized producers.
Sam Healy, from WMC Retail Partners Plc, the company behind the development, said: ’There are people making truly fantastic, home-made food and drink within our county and whilst they can sell their goods at occasional special themed markets, we’re offering them the opportunity to take their sales to the next level with an all-year-round modern sales environment that will be heavily promoted.’
At the St Austell Bay Retail and Leisure Park, Cornucopia will be home to atribute to the Cornish pasty, along with a range of retail units, a licenced bar, restaurant seating, a demonstration kitchen and an events space.
To find out more and register an interest, food and drink producers can contact Sam Healy via email [email protected] or telephone 07979 243 257.
