SHOPS around the town centre have been taking part in a ‘Liskeard Christmas’ online survey to see how they traded over the festive season. The Liskeard Traders’ Association and the Chamber of Commerce have been working with the Town Forum, under the chairmanship of John Hesketh, to find out as much information as possible. This includes details about which events or which days in the run-up to Christmas were busiest, and if the council and forumfunded free parking Saturdays made the town busier. Once collated, the information will be used to help plan future events, and will act as a base to measure changes in the town’s prosperity. The survey has ended and the results will be published in March.
