St Cleer farm shop is to close.

In a statement on social media, operators say ‘with great sorrow’ that landlord issues are leading to the closure.

‘St Cleer Farm & Grocery Stores Ltd has been trading successfully for the past five years. This has been due to our great staff and loyal customers, whom we thank sincerely.’

The shop will close in early January.

We are unable to go into the detailed reasons for the closure for legal reasons, but will be investigating further for next week’s new print edition of the Cornish Times.

Users of our Facebook page have said the closure of the shop would be ‘a disaster for the community’.
