Next month five marine businesses from Cornwall will be heading to Britain’s biggest boating festival, the Southampton Boat Show, which takes place from September 16 to 25.

These companies will join nearly 600 fellow marine brands on display.

British Marine recently published figures which indicate that the marine industry in the South West alone generates up to £909.77 million (31% of the UK total) in revenue, with more than 9,330 people from the region employed in the sector.

Companies taking part in this year’s Show include Cockwells, Cornish Crabbers LLP, Cornish Cruising Falmouth Ltd, National Coastwatch Institution and Rustler Yachts Ltd.
