A NUMBER of businesses in South East Cornwall have received top honours in the South West Tourism Awards.

Treworgey Cottages, near Duloe, picked up a gold award in the self-catering category at the awards ceremony in Exeter Cathedral. 

The Eden Project won gold in the large attraction category and Railholiday Ltd at St Germans took gold for sustainable tourism.

Silver awards went to the Eden Project for sustainable tourism, the Talland Bay Hotel in the small hotel category and the Trewithen Restaurant, Lostwithiel, in the Taste of the South West section.

Treworgey Cottages and Railholiday Ltd have also been announced as finalists in the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence.
