Looe is home to the latest up and coming singer songwriter, Lily Ward. Having only lived in Cornwall since she was 18 and originally from Bedfordshire, 21-year-old Lily is writing and releasing music as much as possible. Her new second single ‘Say Too Much’ from her upcoming EP has just been released through LAB Records and is already drawing attention gathering 40,000 streams before its release. She has also achieved 216,500 independent streams and a record of over 84,000 monthly listeners.

Dan Pascoe, BBC Cornwall said: "You just know that girl is going to go on to amazing, amazing things. One of the most promising new artists."

From a young age, Lily has always been music mad. She said: “I have definitely always been into music. It’s the cliche story of having music lessons when I was younger and then learning more instruments as I got older. I got into singing and songwriting when I was around 10 though. It all went from there really!”

Lily is currently lining up local gigs as much as possible, during the summer she had a weekly gig at Kilminorth cottages, and is often travelling to Bristol and London for recording and songwriting sessions after being taken on and managed by SJM - one of the UK’s largest concert promoters in the UK.
