LISKEARD and Looe Rotary are hoping for a big attendance for their special event tonight (Friday), January 28, at Jacks Nightclub in Liskeard, to raise funds for the Tsunami Disaster Appeal, to enable them to buy more ShelterBoxes. Popular local bands Full Tilt Boogie and Mr Benn will be giving their services free for a great night of funk and rock. There will also be a DJ and special effects lighting. Tickets at £7, with every penny going to the appeal, can be bought at Liskeard Book Shop or Addington Service Station, or on the door. Boogie down to Jacks at 8pm and have an excellent evening to help the thousands who are in need. Also Liskeard Lions are reminding everyone not to forget the final performance of this year's pantomime, Aladdin, to be performed at the Public Hall at 7.30pm on tomorrow night (Saturday), also in aid of the Tsunami Appeal. Tickets are £5 for adults, £2.50 for under 15s, available from Geoffrey Harris Tyres and Stuprint.
