Callington bounced back to winning ways in this Premier League cup fourth round ko encounter in what turned out to be all one-way traffic. It only took 10 minutes for the first goal to arrive, following a good run from Fitze. His shot rebounded off the keeper and Nicholls was on hand to score from 14 yards. The second came a few minutes later, Brooks ran through midfield and played a neat one-two with Nicholls and calmly rounded the keeper to score. The third arrived following some great work from young Stuart Taylor. His pinpoint cross found the head of Nicholls who scored from 10 yards. Callington continued to play some good and attractive football and looked like scoring every time they went forward, but for the St Columb keeper who had an outstanding game, and kept the scoreline respectable for the visitors. But he had no chance with the fourth goal, Taylor was released by Hunt, and his low right-footed shot found the bottom corner. Nicholls then netted Callington's fifth and his third just before half-time.
The second half Callington continued where they had left off, and totally dominated the second period but only scored a fourth two goals due to some good goal keeping and stubborn defending Nicholls grabbed his fourth, a well taken individual goal, scored from a tight angle, Taylor wrapped up the tie with Callington's seventh.
