A great fightback by Callington gave them all three points in this most local of local derbies in the Duchy Premier Division on Tuesday evening.
St Dominic took the lead mid way through the half when Neal Horsley raced clear of a static Town defence before beating Wayne Wormold. However, Callington were level before the break when ex Saints player Steve Brooks shot home from the edge of the area for his second goal in two games.
Saints regained the lead in controversial style early in the second half. With the Town defence awaiting an offside flag which didn't materialise, Horsley again broke free and was impeded in the area by Wormold. He converted the spot kick to make the score 2-1. This, though, only served to wake up a subdued Callington side and two goal in two minutes late on turned the game on its head. First Martin Nicholls fired home and then Chris Truscott netted the winner to the delight of the Town supporters.
