Altarnun tends to be an inhospitable destination in mid-winter and a physical encounter is always expected. Saturday's division one cup tie ran true to form but Polperro's superiority over their struggling hosts was evident from the kick off.
Jason Richardson left the 'keeper sprawling with a deceptive header after eight minutes but in tricky conditions Polperro failed to extend their lead before half time.
Shortly after the break Richardson gained possession from a poor goal kick and knocked home Polperro's second. This was quickly followed by two near miss headers from Richard Chapman and Matthew Barton before Aaron Spry broke from the halfway line to make it three nil.
Richardson had a hand in the fourth after 30 minutes when his well flighted corner was headed in by Barton. Steve Milne completed the scoring was his first goal for the club in the dying stages of the match.
