The visitors completed their first league double of the season with this relatively comfortable victory. In the early stages Gunnislake came close to opening the scoring when, for the second week running, Joe Pulley was denied by the woodwork.
With Ken and Mark Yeoman, Neil Kinger and Pulley all attacking from midfield coupled with the front two of Lee Underwood and Paul Tomkins looking sharp the visitors always looked likely to open the scoring. The breakthrough came on 25 minutes when Ord played in Tomkins to head home.
Gunnislake had to wait until the second half to increase their lead. The second goal came when Yeoman produced an excellent run and cross and Tomkins helped the ball on to Underwood who scored from close range.
Tomkins grabbed a second for himself before fellow striker partner Underwood notched his second with a precise shot after a surging run by Ord.
An added benefit for top of the table Gunnislake was that Andy Southcott played his first fixture for the club this season following a spell with Jewson club Callington.
