This was a lethargic and virtually non-existent performance by a Saints' side who never really turned up for the match and went missing for great periods during which Sticker dominated and should have emphasised their superiority by the break. However, half-time came will a goalless scoreline.
The number of chances created and not converted by the home team reminded the travelling contingent of the previous week, when St Cleer were guilty of not taking some of their chances which, in the end, cost them the match. On this occasion though, it was not a case of if Sticker would score but more of when and how many they would grab. They did not worry the scoresheet until midway through the second half, when they eventually forced the ball home after it had seemed to hit everybody in the area. It was no more than they deserved. They did not increase their lead until 10 minutes from the end when a free kick in the midfield was taken quickly and a sprint directly at goal resulted in the ball being slipped past the oncoming keeper. Their third was from a half-cleared corner and a deflected shot which was headed home at an angle.
This is a game St Cleer will be glad to forget and could have cost them dearly, but again results in this league have gone their way. However, they cannot get away with such poor performances as put up over the last two weeks if they still have ambitions this season.
