This was a match St Cleer had to win, could have won, should have won,. had morre possession, contributed to the majority of the goals, and still came off second best!

It all started so well when after five minutes a corner from the right found Hockin's head and the captain continued where he left off last week putting Saints one-up. With St Cleer playing the better football and putting pressureon Gerrans, the visitors were left with crumbs which Saints soaked up. That was until a corner was mishandled and found its way into the back of the net.

This re-vitalised the visitors and Saints had to work hard to re-establish themselves but were dealt a sucker blow when a good passing movement from Gerrans found a forward in the box with Saints defence gone awol and he blasted the ball into the net.

St Cleer came out for the second half with renewed determination and camped in the visitors half but never had the rub of the green. With 15 mins left a long ball in to the St Cleer with defender and attacker in attendance resulted in an own goal.

Saints never really got over this shock and although they piled on more pressure they could not turn superiority into goals and trouped off a disconsolate bunch.
