Jason Richardson opened Polperro's account in the opening minutes with a tap in from close range and closed it in the dying moments rising at the far post to head home.

Unfortunately, for 80 minutes in between he was struck down by the 'goalshy' virus, more contagious at Killigarth than any strain of influenza.

Matthew Barton made it 2-0 after 15 minutes with a peach of a drive from 40 yards before he too fell foul of the bug and was rendered impotent in front of goal. The epidemic stretched to Aaron Spry as well but he did manage to rally sufficiently to net twice.

Completing Polperro's scoresheet was Barry Crane, whose appearances are far too few of late, his deft touch from the edge of the box had the ball destined for the top corner of the net from the moment it left his boot.

Paul Hudson made a fine penalty save to earn a clean sheet as Polperro cruised to a comfortable victory and if the squad all find their form on the same day someone is going to get a real pasting soon.
