Pensilva suffered their second league defeat against an impressive St. Newlyn side.

A Darren Worden goal after a couple of minutes gave them the perfect start but St. Newlyn then began to dominate and the pressure told after about 20 minutes when they equalised and shortly afterwards took the lead. Pensilva thought they had scored when Rob Swinburne was played through and finished well but the goal was disallowed for an earlier offside, much to the disappointment of the home team, so the score remained 2-1 at half time.

The second half saw Pensilva battling against both the slope and a very strong wind and st. newlyn soon capitalised to make the score 3-1. A second Worden goal restored some hope for the home side but it was St. Newlyn who finished the game strongly to add two more goals for a comprehensive win against a well below par Pensilva side.
