With a strong wind at their backs Callington took the early honours and scored first when Keiran Ruck took on Bere's defence and hammered a left footed shot into the roof of the net. Bere soon levelled with some good interpassing which opened up Callington's defence and Stewert had no chance with a close range shot. Callington still forced the pace and went ahead when youngster Andrew Shorten kept his head with a one-on-one with the keeper and coolly swept the ball into the net.

Bere were not going to give in easily and a quality strike brought them level before half time. Callington had chances in the second half from Ruck and Burgoyne but Bere won with two more goals but this was a quality performance against the leagues in-form team.
