Callington Thirds were made to fight all the way by their Division Four West opponents at Duchy College on Saturday but in the end, the visitors finished with the advantage courtesy of a controversial third goal late on.

The Saints took the lead early on through Dave Partridge only for Keiron Ruck to level matters for the home side.

Jamie Robinson regained the lead for the visitors but Ruck was again on hand to equalise.

With time running out, a defensive lapse gave Callington the lead but then, St Columb attacked at pace with Alex Weller netting the levelling goal to the constenation of the home players, officials and supporters. So it is all to play for both sides who meet again in the second leg on 8th April in Mid Cornwall.
