The Looe Old Cornwall Society began their New Year's programme with a talk by local ornithologist Bob Stockhausen on 'moor-land farm birds'. Bob has talked to the Society before and his visit was looked forward to with enthusiasm.

Along with slides, Bob, whose knowledge and experience is second to none, took members on a thrilling journey across the farms and buildings of the Bodmin moor area. The next meeting is on Saturday, February 12, at 2.30pm at the RAOB Hall in Millpool Car Park, West Looe, when Richard Martin, local area coastguard superintendent will talk on 'Guarding our Coasts'. Further information from secretary Peter King on (01503) 262628.
