Cornwall gained a 17-12 billiards and snooker victory over a Plymouth and District League representative side at Grants, St. Austell, on Saturday in a friendly fixture revived after a number of years.
The county's senior snooker side gained a narrow 8-6 win, while the Under-21 youth side drew 5-5. The billiards competition, which Cornwall won comfortably 4-1, was highlighted by breaks of 92 and 57 by Noel Meagor (Playing Place).
Highest snooker breaks were 59 by Plymouth's Mark Davies in his 2-0 win over Robert Bennetts (Heamoor) and 46 by Kevin Steed (Pensilva) who won the last two frames to clinch the senior snooker victory.

* Falmouth gained a 4-2 victory over Looe at Playing Place in the County 7-a-side Joe Davis snooker championship to avenge their 4-0 defeat in last year's final. Falmouth went 2-0 down, but came back strongly to take the next four frames. Penryn lost 4-1 to Heamoor.
