Cornwall Council’s Archives and Cornish Studies Service has launched another series of its ArTchive workshops, which gives people the chance to get creative in workshops inspired by archive collections.

‘Bejewelling History’ will take place at Cornwall Record Office in Truro on February 19 from 10am-4pm. Led by local jewellery designer and maker, Amanda Crago, participants will make jewellery using image transfer techniques inspired by the archive’s collections of manuscripts, maps and images.

To give participants inspiration for making the jewellery they will also enjoy a tour of the archive’s strongrooms, at the Record Office which is home to 850 years of Cornish history.

The workshop costs £10, payable on booking, which includes materials but not refreshments.

Places are very limited, so pre-booking is essential. Call 01872 323 127 to book or for more information.
