Police in Fowey have asked residents to be ‘sensible’ when dealing with seagulls after reports of windows being broken.
During a monthly report to the town council, PCSO Paynter said that airgun pellets had been fired in Vicarage Gardens and windows of two properties had been damaged.
‘As first-floor windows on neighbouring properties were damaged, it would seem likely that someone is taking shots at seagulls,’ the report states.
‘We all know that seagulls can be a nuisance. However, it is an offence and it could prove very costly for the perpetrator. Please, whoever you are, be sensible.’
