A Callington CIC (Community Interest Company) which is transforming the lives of veterans and young people has won national recognition for its work.

Battling On CIC supports former services personnel to integrate into civilian life. Veterans also work as mentors to young people who have struggled with formal education, and those who may be at risk of falling into crime – or who have already been in trouble.

At the Soldiering On Awards ceremony in London – dubbed the ‘Oscars for Armed Forces charities’ – Battling On was presented with the Innovation Award by host Jeremy Vine.
