THE chairman of the Royal British Legion woman's section organised a fundraising event at her home. Christine Pampling hosted a sausage and mash lunch on Monday, June 26, followed by a raffle. A profit of £50 was raised. Each year the woman's section donates money to the Poppy Appeal as well as sending money to the county and donating to the benevolent fund. Women are welcome to come along to the monthly meetings which are held in the branch headquarters on the third Tuesday of every month, starting at 2pm.
