THE Callington and District Netball League held their annual meeting and presentation evening recently. Swingletree won the league for the second year running, with Castle Motors runners-up.
"The Players" player of the season was Hannah Moir, Linda Chapman and Tricia Davis jointly sharing the most improved senior trophy.
The teamwork trophy was awarded to Launceston College, who played their last season this year. The Castle Motors team will be losing their sponsorship for next season but would like to thank Rose and Graham Flood for all their support over the years.
The C & D Netball League takes place at Callington Community College Sports Centre on Wednesday evenings during the winter season. The League is always looking to expand and any new teams/players wishing to join will be very welcome. If interested please contact the League secretary on 01579 345274.
