Chris Grint, county commissioner for Cornwall, welcomed 80 leaders and trainers, and training included first aid, water safety, camping and leadership.
Among the books on sale was one entitled 'The Guide Association in Cornwall' compiled by Nicola Horne. The book contains photographs of the movement in Cornwall from the early 1920s to the present day. Nicola was at the training day, signing copies of her book which includes around 200 photographs many of which feature members of the rainbows, brownies, guides, rangers and Trefoil members from all parts of Cornwall.
Nicola has been involved with guiding in Cornwall for 20 years and she is donating all the royalties from the book to the movement.
