Around 1,000 cyclists will be gathering at Land’s End tomorrow before setting off on the Deloitte Ride Across Britain on Saturday morning.

The ride is a nine-day, 969-mile, fully-supported cycle.

The day one ride through Cornwall is one of the toughest parts of the journey with short, steep climbs and descents. The cyclists will ride 105 miles across the county and into Devon

The ride is in its ninth year and last year it raised more than £1.2m for good causes.
