Members of the Combat Athletics Academy, based in Liskeard, entered the UK Premier Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Championships in Bristol and returned to to Cornwall with eight medals.

The biggest achievement, though, belonged to Annie Brown. Because of the lack of girls' entries, the 14-year-old entered the boys' under-15 discipline and came away with the gold medal.
