Teenager Andy Jones is swapping playing for Liskeard Athletic for a place in a Scottish Premier League team. The 17-year-old secured himself an 18-month contract with Inverness Caledonian Thistle after Liskeard manager Dave Leonard contacted a host of clubs to tell them about his talent. Andy spent a week at the top-flight club – currently sitting in fourth place in the division – to convince bosses he was worthy of a professional contract. Mr Leonard, who coached Andy between the ages of ten and 12, said: 'This is marvellous both for him and the club.'
