Caradon Observatory will be teaming up with South West Lakes Trust to host another Dark Skies event at Siblyback Lake on Saturday, August 10.
Book your place and spend an evening camping under the stars. Siblyback Lake is an International Dark Sky Landscape, offering a fantastic opportunity to see and learn more about the magnificent Bodmin Moor dark skies.
The campsite will open at 11am and the event will start at 8.30pm.
The main focus is to get close to Jupiter, the Moon and Saturn. There will be a range of telescopes to gaze through; Caradon Observatory will be using the ‘Big Dob’ and two refractors on computer controlled mounts.
The Rock Hopper café will be open until late; fish and chips will be on offer from 5pm and cooked breakfasts will be for sale on Sunday morning.
The event is free and camping costs £20 for a tent for up to four people.
Booking is essential for everyone as spaces are limited - call 01566 771930 or visiting www.swlakestrust.org.uk
