THE children’s charity, CHICKS (Country Holidays for Inner City Kids), has hosted its first respite breaks of the year. The charity provides free week-long breaks for disadvantaged children from across the country. One of its three centres is at Tywardreath, near Par. Last year, CHICKS gave more than 150 children a break.
