The A30 eastbound between Bodmin and Temple was closed on Monday afternoon following a serious collision between two vehicles.

Police advised drivers to seek alternative routes and reported tailbacks of more than two miles.It was later reported that a young boy had suffered a chest injury while the driver of one of the cars had a suspected broken ankle.Police said there were also a number of walking wounded following the incident, which happened near the Colliford Lake junction at Temple.The collision is believed to have happened at around 4pm and emergency services were quickly on the scene.One lane of the eastbound carriageway was reopened shortly before 6.30pm but there remained slow moving traffic.
