Police say they have arrested a man and a woman in connection with their investigation into the alleged theft of parking meters across Devon and Cornwall.

They were arrested in Kingsbridge, South Devon.

The 33-year-old man from Launceston and 24-year-old woman from Plymouth were bailed by police until next March.

A number of parking meters have been taken from car parks over the two counties, including one from Callington which was found in the River Lynher near Golberdon (pictured).
