Detectives put out an appeal yesterday (Thursday) for information about an attempted robbery which took place in  Liskeard on Sunday, October 23,  where a man was threatened for his wallet at knifepoint.

The 19-year-old victim was walking home between 2am and 2.30am when he was approached by three men in Varley Lane.

One of the men, who was in possession of a knife, demanded his wallet. When he refused he became involved in a physical altercation with the three.

The victim, from Liskeard, managed to get away uninjured and nothing was stolen during the incident.

Police are seeking the suspects and appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward and contact them.

The man holding the knife is described as black, aged 19-22, between 6ft 2ins and 6ft 5ins tall and of slim build. He had a slim face and his hair was shorter on the sides of his head and longer on the top. He was wearing a black hoody and black jeans.

The other two men were white; one was aged around 19 and was around 5ft 8ins tall. He had blond hair, longer on the top, and was wearing a grey hoody.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has information about the offence is asked to contact DC 623 Nikki Booth at Liskeard police station by telephoning 101, quoting crime reference number CR/75311/16.
