Police say they are working with a school to track down youths behind a string of anti-social offences – committed while in uniform.

In the most recent incident on Saturday evening (April 22)in Gunnislake, police and firefighters were called to Station Road after  a hedge was set on fire.

‘Luckily, not a lot of damage was caused and the fire did not spread,’ said a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson.

‘We have been informed that these are the same youths that have been involved in increasing anti social behaviour in the area, such as shouting and swearing, knocking on doors and running away and littering.

‘We are aware that they are from Callington Community College as they tend to wear their school uniform. Police will be speaking with the school to identify those responsible, and patrols will also increase in that area.’
