Stopping a man waving a chainsaw near to families on a busy road has earned two Devon and Cornwall Police officers a regional police bravery award

PC Karl Wood claimed the Region 6 (South West) prize for himself and on behalf of his colleague PC Moore at an awards ceremony in London.

The two officers were called to an incident in Camelford in July 2016 where a man had threatened his father with knives, a chainsaw and an axe.
