Police are appealing for witnesses to a fatal collision in Launceston in which an elderly man died.
Emergency services were called around 3.15pm on Friday (May 6) after the collision involving a silver Ford Ka and a blue Ford Focus on the B3254 near Pennygillam roundabout.
The driver of the Ka, a 77-year-old man from Tavistock, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being airlifted to Derriford Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The female driver of the Focus, from Launceston, was also checked by paramedics but did not require hospital treatment.
The road was closed for just over four hours while officers from the Serious Collisions Investigation Team carried out an investigation at the scene.
They are appealing for witnesses to the collision and asking anyone who witnessed the incident or saw either vehicle travelling in the area at the time to contact them.
