THREE men arrested on suspicion of murder have now been released on police bail.

A 38-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, both from Callington, and a 29-year-old from Gunnislake were interviewed by detectives from the Major Crime Team in connection with the death of a 22-year-old Plymouth man.

The arrests followed an incident at Kit Hill, Callington, at around 9.30pm on Thursday 26 March.

Police have reassured the public that they are treating the murder enquiry as an isolated incident and ’between a group of males known to each other’.

At this time police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the murder or attempted murder.

Detective Inspector Rob Back, said: ’This has been a very fast moving enquiry and I would like to thank the communities within East Cornwall for all the support they have provided, particularly those who have been socially distancing or self-isolating.

’Should anybody have information about this incident I would urge them to contact us on 101 quoting reference CR/025664/20. Alternatively, should they wish to remain anonymous, information can be provided to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.’
