A MAN has been arrested following a two-vehicle crash which left a woman needing hospital treatment near St Germans.

The collision happened at around 4.10am on Monday (September 14) on the A374.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to the scene and a road closure was put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash.

A woman was taken to hospital following the collision, but police said her injuries are not considered to be life-threatening or life-changing.

A man in his 40s from Looe was arrested in connection with the crash.

He was arrested on suspicion of driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, possession of cannabis and driving while unfit through drink or drugs.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: “We were called at around 4.10am on Monday, September 14 following a two-vehicle collision on the A374 near St Germans.

“A road closure was put in place but has since been lifted.”

The spokesperson added: “One woman was taken to hospital. Her injuries are not considered life-changing or life-threatening.

“A man in his 40s from Looe was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst disqualified and with no insurance, possession of cannabis and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs.

“He has been taken to hospital to be checked over.”
