FIRE crews were this morning still at the scene of a major workshop blaze at Two Burrows, near Chacewater.

Residents of nearby homes had to be evacuated as firefighters tackled the blaze during the night, because gas cylinders posed a danger. At one stage there were 45 firefighters at the scene, and police closed the nearby road.

Crews are now ensuring the scene is safe and damping down hot spots.
