A fire at Fore Street, St Blazey is under investigation.

The fire was reported at lunchtime today and was dealt with by fire officers from Truro, St Austell and Lostwithiel with three appliances and an aerial ladder platform.

The blaze was in a first floor flat and the roof space and crews used four sets of breathing apparatus, two thermal image cameras, two hosereels, one safety jet and one covering jet.

Although all rooms suffered smoke damage the only fire damage was confined to the bedroom due to the quick response of the fire service. There are no reported injuries.
