A co-responder crew from Polruan Community Fire Station helped the ambulance service by giving assistance and care to patients until the arrival of paramedics on Sunday evening.

Firefighters from six Community Fire Stations in Cornwall help the community by not only providing fire cover but also act as a co-response resource in medical care, through partnership with South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT).
