A fire in the kitchen of a bungalow spread to the roof space.

After firefighters from Liskeard, Bodmin and Lostwithiel found smoke pouring from the property at Church View, St Neot, yesterday lunchtime, they quickly established that all people were safely accounted for.

Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used high pressure hosereel jets to put out the fire and a positive pressure fan was used to ventilate the premises.

The cause was accidental.
