Nine firefighters on two appliances from Callington answered a 999 call to a cooker fire in a property in the town yesterday afternoon.

Crews found the fire well alight in a grill pan. Firefighters removed the pan from the property in Rosemullion Gardens and used natural ventilation to clear smoke from the building.
