The alarm was raised after smoke was seen coming from a bedroom window in Lower Lux Street, Liskeard, yesterday evening.

Firefighters from Liskeard and Callington found a fire in the bedroom of a three-storey property.

It was put out using a high pressure hosereel jet.

The cause was accidental.
